FunDamental Studios hosts a social activity once a month
for students, family, friends and the local community. All are welcome!
Come hang out, enjoy some snacks, meet interesting people, play games
and maybe even learn something new along the way.

Goal: Build community, allow time to nurture ourselves, and create meaningful connections.
YOU are invited to come join the fun!

Belly Dance Social & Drum Circle

November 14th = Show Up & Shimmy Hafla!

Planning to dance? Put your name in the bowl. Write an introduction (serious or fantastical) and put that in another bowl. These will be drawn at random!

When your name is called . . .
Choose one of the CDs provided by your host. (Reach out for specifics.)
Draw a random song to dance to.
Have fun dancing & flexing those ever important improv muscles!

(Hence the name Show Up & Shimmy! No prep required other than choosing what to wear.)

Art Jam & Community Social

October 10th = The Art of Arabic Percussion!
** Spontaneous Dancing May Occur **

Musicians: Bring your doumbek, riqq, zills, or favorite portable percussion instrument and let’s make some beautiful music together!
(We’ll have a few extra drums on hand for people to borrow and try out that day.)

Performers: Dancers are the music made visible, so as you feel inspired, we invite you to take to the dance floor!
